AIWA stands for Augsburg International Women’s Association because that is essentially what we are!
We are a group of international and local women who share the characteristic of international spirit.
We are a non profit, non religious and non political association.
We are here to help you to settle into Augsburg, to introduce you to some friendly new people, to the local sights and culture. Since English is the most commonly accessible language to most of us, our activities are mostly English-based although our members come from all over the world. As of today, we speak 15 languages.
We regularly do things like going to cultural events or coming up with events ourselves (summer party, pumpkin carving contest, ski weekend, a nice restaurant…).
We are part of an international community, a member of FAWCO and by joining us you can also take part in the charity activities in which we participate.
